I picked up this beautiful, glittery green when I stopped to get Revlon Colorstay in French Roast. Due to a BOGO50 special at CVS Pharmacy, I got both, but I ended up loving this one much more than French Roast. If you read that review, you learned that the staying power was below par. The Rain Forest, however, lasted for about five days before I got sick of it and changed it. I'm pretty sure the glitter bits had a lot to do with it's staying power, as they sort of grab on to the nail a lot more than a solid hue.
I really love the depth of this green. It shimmers and shines and reminds me of a green version of Dorothy's shoes in The Wizard of Oz.

I popped into Sally's Beauty Supply two days ago because I wanted to treat myself to a little nail polish happy, and I found a glorious sale!!
They are currently offering a BOGO on all ORLY products {minus polish removers} and a BOGO offer stating that if you purchase a bottle of Seche Vite top coat you can choose a China Glaze polish for free.
I rarely shop at Khol's, mainly because I simply forget there is one in my town. I had some down time the other day and was in need of a gift for a person that is difficult to shop for and I immediately thought about Khol's and their plethora of randomness. If you've never been there, they have a little bit of everything, and sure enough, I found a gift. I also found a great sale! I picked up a few things {most of which aren't even offered on the website anymore, so I didn't bother to post them here}, but my favorite was this awesome faux leather biker style jacket. It's a very fun jacket and I have already paired it with a few different looks. The best part is the price. The jacket regularly was priced at $84 which I would never pay for faux leather, however, I picked it up for $54! It is still available online, so go grab one if you don't have a Khol's. It is true to size and very nice quality!

It’s Tresses Tuesday and I thought I would share the most fabulous
video I found about a year ago on YouTube from thelipstickdiaries on how to create beautiful, long lasting curls!
The technique is quick and requires little effort (no heat)! I do this a few times a week and I always get a ton of compliments! This method has also assisted me with growing my hair out and allows me to avoid using heat for styling, so my hair is healthier and shinier! NOTE: If you have very long hair, this method still works, however, once you reach a point in the wrapping where you cannot put any more hair around the band, use bendable rollers {I use Conair Slip-free rollers that I purchased at a local drug store. They are also available on Amazon} to curl the remaining pieces of hair.
All you need is an elastic headband {I use the Goody Stay Put Headbands - pictured below, the wider the band, the bigger the curls}, volumizing mousse, and hair spray.
This method works well for me and stays bouncy and curly all day long and even in to day two with waves. I did make a few changes from the video: I start wrapping my hair when it is damp - almost dry. This will be a trial and error process for you, depending on your hair type and thickness. Mine dries extremely fast, so even if I wrap it when its a little too wet, the curls still develop fine. I also put product in my hair such as root boosting mousse or curl booster sprays. I usually use Big Sexy Hair's Root Pump Plus Volumizing Spray Mousse on my roots and spread the remaining all over my hair. I also spray each strand before wrapping it with a hair spray or setting spray. Lately I've been using Tresemme's Climate Control Finishing Spray. In the morning after I unwrap the hair, I comb through it to relax the curls. It will be super curly if you follow these directions, however, the hair is easily manipulated to style to your liking. This foundation is FABULOUS for a drugstore product. I have to admit it, blog world, my name is Jennifer, and I am a foundation snob! {cue the "hi, Jennifers"}. Up until a few months ago I had religiously used {for ten plus years} the same foundation - Merle Norman’s Total Finish Compact in Creamy Beige {in the summer I am Buff Beige, FYI :) }. The Merle Norman really is great, however it is very heavy {as in it has been said it is used in funeral homes in preparation for wakes} and I started to really notice my pores enlarging due to the excess that was left after my daily cleansing routines. I decided I needed to find something that gave me the same flawless coverage, but was more dense - leaving less behind at the end of the day…. cue Maybelline’s Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation!
I discovered the Maybelline foundation on one of my favorite beauty vlog sites and went that evening and purchased it. Keep in mind, this is a full coverage foundation. This means it is quite heavy. I don't wear this on a daily basis, but it is great for days when I have after work plans and don't have time to go home in between. Now, here's the scoop:
Pros:
Easy shade matching: I chose my shade by comparing the color of the foundation showing through the side of the bottle to the top of my hand and it was a perfect match {I will insert my shade here when I get home to check what it is}.
Minimal product needed at each application: A little goes a long way with this stuff and it really stays for a long time. I haven’t worn it for 24 hours straight, but from the coverage I’ve gotten so far from a morning application and wearing it to work, I wouldn’t be surprised about its staying power.
Minimal smell: This product has little no no odor.
Blends well: After applying my moisturizer, I applied the foundation with a Sigma Kabuki brush then blended in with a Sonia Kashuk Blender Ball and achieved maximum coverage with little effort.
Cons:
The only con I have for this product right now is the fact that I would prefer it in a bottle with a pump. I feel products in bottles with twist caps allow one to waste a lot of product when trying to get it out of the bottle. For the price of this foundation {which is higher than most drug store brand items} a pump should have been added.
